It's neat that this store still has the oval "racetrack" ceiling feature in the produce department, something that was a frequent feature of
QFC's 80s stores (along with other decorative ceiling elements that helped break up the bland look these stores tend to have these days).
QFC novice here, but this is a sister package to Fresh Fare 1.0, right? The light boxes, trim, and wallpaper seem to match, but the department text rather than pictographs really throws me off!
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is what was officially called QFC Fresh Fare, though I think it may have predated "normal" Fresh Fare by a few years. This was the most common Fresh Fare variation at QFC, but they also used the normal version (or at least a version closer to normal) along with at least two other QFC-specific versions. There are/were also a very small number of stores elsewhere with the QFC version (or at least something closer to it).
