This store is full of little surprises, along with one big one: Despite all the documents I had seen that showed plain Modern decor, it seems there was a last-minute change to Modern Deluxe! I believe this is the very first use of Modern Deluxe in the Seattle Division (though there is one random Safebertsons in Eastern Washington that appears to have received a weird stripped-down version of the package). I was pretty happy to see this, since it's one of the few bright spots in a store that, as we've seen, isn't all that great overall.
There is one strange thing about the decor here, though -- the faux tiles behind the signs are running vertically, not horizontally like in all the other Modern Deluxe stores I've seen, or like the pharmacy and customer service signs in plain Modern stores for that matter. I'm guessing this was just a weird mistake, but I honestly quite like this look -- it's just a little bit less run-of-the-mill than typical horizontal tile!
