The produce department may well be my favorite part of this store, though there are some other spots that come close! Apart from the surprisingly-modern cases along the wall (and the random wine display on top of them), this feels like a total time capsule back to the 80s, down to the hideous avocado green flooring. It appears that the central displays were replaced at some point, too, judging by the floor scars, but they don't look particularly new. But of course, the ceiling is the best part -- I love these giant faux skylights!
While I'm no big fan of avocado green in general, I have no problem with that color of flooring in a produce department. Now, granted, the chipped tile and the off-color replacement tiles are a different story, but this is way better than a concrete floor! The fake skylights are pretty awesome as well!
