Something that long set Haggen apart from other grocery stores is their large garden/plant section, closer to what I'd expect from Fred Meyer or Walmart than from a typical supermarket. This has continued under Albertsons ownership, and on my 2018 visit I was highly impressed by the selection they still had all the way into September, well after most stores would have given up on their garden department for the year.
