Blank sign

The soffit above that strange sign has a spot where a sign should seemingly be, similar to the other departments around the store, but its sign is missing, and there appear to be marks on the wall from letters that were removed at some point (not enough to tell what it would have formerly said, though). Combined with the non-matching sign in the previous picture, I suspect there originally was something other than health and beauty/cleaning products over here, though I have no idea what that would have been -- if it was a pharmacy (my first thought) or any other service department, Save Mart did an uncharacteristically good job of hiding where it once was! Whatever it was, it mustn't have lasted very long, since the non-matching sign still looks pretty old.

Yikes, looks like the roof in this part of the store has a serious problem with leaks! This is approaching Kmart levels, especially that one tile where half of it is missing entirely! I suppose I shouldn't be surprised Save Mart hasn't bothered to replace the roof, since they haven't invested money in anything to do with this store over the past 40 years.

Yikes is right! This looks pretty bad. This reminds me of some Macy's around here before they closed, but those had mold/mildew on the ceiling tiles in addition to the holes and stains. Macy's! Kmart is also a good comparison! Things were looking pretty good at this store until we saw this problem!
