Lots of Instant Pots

This seems to be one of those times when I was trying to hide behind a display (I believe the person almost entirely blocked by the column on the left was a salesperson), this time selling $100 Instant Pots. Late 2021 was probably about the tail end of the Instant Pot fad, and the company recently filed for bankruptcy despite everything -- that's what being owned by private equity gets you, I guess. The small-appliance department overall doesn't look all that great here, with products being displayed in giant piles of boxes like I'd expect to see at Costco -- I wonder if that was a pandemic-era thing, or if Macy's has just given up on the nicer displays I would expect from a department store.
