Something about this angle makes this store's produce department look much smaller than it actually is! The main actionway is actually unusually narrow, though -- despite this space having been built specifically for Safeway in the present century, the store is noticeably cramped, and I'm impressed they managed to fit all the service departments in here, when they probably would have skipped some of them in the pre-Lifestyle era (or even today -- the new urban stores they're building in Seattle aren't going to have a full compliment of service departments). I love the way the vertical produce signs look -- I'm sure they would have looked even better with the original lighting!
