Hey Kroger -- integrally colored concrete floors look great, but when you patch them, you actually have to use matching colored concrete or it just looks dumb! 🙃
It's possible that this store got the older dairy decor setup in part because it has an exceptionally small dairy department by Fred Meyer standards, which is odd because most stores from this era instead have quite a bit of wall space dedicated to dairy. This whole store feels much less wide than a normal Fred Meyer (at least from pictures; it's too long ago for me to remember how it felt in real life), which is strange since I measured on Google Maps and it's a completely normal size.
As bad as this floor is, I've seen a lot worse when it comes to Kroger concrete floors. Just wait until you see May's The Year of Kroger post at HHR! Yikes! Start preparing yourself now because it really is that bad, lol. It might well be the worst concrete floor I've ever seen in a major retailer...and that's saying something!
ReplyDeleteAs for the Live Naturally stuff, I'm not sure about the history of that. I'll be showing a Banner Kroger in June's TYOK post that has a whole Live Naturally department, but it makes no sense at all. I guess you'll have to explain that to me when that post goes live because it is very weird.
Yikes! I... don't think I'll be looking forward to that!
DeleteHmm, interesting. Does it at least make more sense than the one in Coos Bay? 😉 Seriously, though, I think basically all of Kroger's natural foods departments, whatever their branding, are looking rather strange these days since they decided to integrate natural foods into the main aisles.
