While the Safeway situation of stores selling either Boar's Head or Dietz and Watson, seemingly randomly, is odd, QFC's practice of selling both Murray's and Boar's Head in different departments of the same store seems quite strange in its own way! Of course, Murray's is a cheese brand and Boar's Head is primarily a deli meat company, but they do advertise cheese as well. In other premium brand news, I believe this is the first time I've seen a QFC with Tutta Bella take-and-bake products, something that's much more common at Fred Meyer; of course, that's not too surprising since this store is quite a bit larger than the typical QFC!

DeleteLol at the title!
ReplyDeleteI'm not as surprised about Kroger stores selling both brands of cheese since Murray's is essentially the "house brand" even though they do a pretty good job of convincing customers otherwise.
