There are sure a lot of cars in these past few photos, but no Subarus

And that's it for this store -- this picture is a bit repetitive, but I feel like it's a nice one to end on. I'm glad that Safeway/QFC picked flat-growing trees to avoid blocking photos of the facade! 😉

Back next weekend, with something non-Safeway!

  1. This is certainly an unusual facade for a Safeway! It almost kind of looks like the bell tower is one of those small airport control towers!

I was shocked to read there are no Subarus in this parking lot! I decided to zoom in to see if I could find one that was maybe hiding in the parking lot somewhere and I think I see an Outback driving past the front of the store on the right side of the store! It could be something else, but it looks like a modern station wagon type SUV and, well, that kind of limits the number of choices it could be, lol.

I do like the reflection of the Chevrolet Cruze's wheel cover in that puddle!

Is it common for Safeways in the Northwest to have a USPS mailbox near the front of the store? The former Safeway closest to me, which opened in 1980, did have a mailbox like that at the front of the store. In fact, it is still there with Food Town running the store now. It used to be common for supermarkets to sell stamps, but having a mailbox like that in front of a store is quite convenient. I don't see it that often these days though. I also suspect those boxes are safer than the random ones spread around which I know have become the target of mail thieves, unfortunately.

    1. You're right, that's definitely an Outback! Oh good, we're upholding the Northwest stereotype 😃

Thanks! I wish I could say I had done that intentionally 🙂

Honestly, I've never really paid attention to mailboxes at Safeways! It doesn't strike me as strange, but I don't think it's a particularly common thing either.
