Unlike most Safeway remodels, which leave the Lifestyle-era books and magazines shelving in place (or at least a small part of it), this store got a new set, much smaller than what it used to have, installed. But I'm pretty sure the "new" shelf here isn't actually brand new, since the decor has a somewhat dated look to it, and it doesn't fit in with Modern at all -- but then again, I have no idea what era this might have come from, or what Safeway is actually using these days, so I don't actually know that for sure. It's a bit of a mystery.
