Last time I checked, butter wasn't meat

These circa-2010 stores have one major change compared to typical Safeways -- the deli is in an island rather than in the corner, with the whole rest of that side of the store rearranged as a result. That means these stores have an extra bit of wall space, which in turn means they have a little bit more decor than I'm used to seeing. This store uses the first aisle behind the island as its dairy aisle, which is also home to lunch meats, though they aren't quite where the sign for that department is placed.
