Beige to grey, just like real Safeways

For the most part, Safeway Canada's branding is frozen in time in 2013, when it split off from the US company; however, this store at least has been repainted from Lifestyle Beige to a grey scheme similar to what Seattle-area Safeways have been getting! This is, of course, part of a much larger trend away from using earth tones, but it's still interesting to see. Also marginally interesting, the parking lot here is apparently managed by Diamond Parking, a Seattle company that formerly managed parking lots at a few Seattle Safeways (it seems that Safeway has largely given up on contracted parking management around here) -- I don't believe the Canada stores were ever run by the Seattle division the way the Alaska stores are, but that's still an interesting connection!
