The only major area where these circa-2000 stores got layout changes during their Lifestyle remodels is the wall between the bakery and deli, originally home to an extension of the bakery, which would be turned into the liquor department (sometimes keeping bread and rolls along the wall itself, sometimes not). This store retains the open feel of this area that would have largely been kept during the original Lifestyle remodels, with the bread displays replaced by low wine shelving; most Washington stores later had it chopped up with taller shelving and longer aisles when grocery stores were allowed to carry hard liquor, something that I'm surprised to see was never done here (probably because this store is managed out of Oregon). I don't have any pictures of the liquor department here, unfortunately, but Proto-Lifestyle stores generally put it in the first few full-length aisles on this side of the store, which Google Maps shows is true here too. (Which actually looks pretty similar to the configuration Safeway later went to in most Washington stores, just with this extra space between it and the wall!)
