This store continues the amusing pattern I've noticed of vintage, miniature Safeways having a higher aisle count than the typical modern Safeway -- here, 13 aisles, compared to the typical store's 10 or so. That's because a lot of vintage Safeways tend to be much wider than they are deep -- even their newer stores are far from square, but ones like this are much more so. The aisle markers themselves are an unusual medium-size design, with four plaques rather than the standard 7 (supposed to be 6 + one for local landmarks/streets, but that's quite rare these days) or the 2 used on the smallest size I've seen.
