Big sign, little machines

Oddly, despite this store having received a major remodel and the current-generation self checkout machines (which aren't particularly great, by the way -- the bagging area is around half the size of the older ones, and the ones at my local store have it on the left of the scanner, for no apparent reason), it still has them in the older back-to-back configuration instead of the zigzag style Safeway uses these days. And I can be pretty sure these weren't added after the remodel, because the sign is the older (larger, even cheaper-looking) design. Off in the background, above the oddly-duplicated restroom signs, is this store's thank you sign -- it's somewhat oddly located, not being in the vestibule, but it actually has the neighborhood name rather than just the city name, which is something I'm very disappointed Safeway hasn't typically done in later Modern remodels.
