One of the fun things about going through older pictures of Halloween stores is how they tend to be time capsules of pop culture right in that moment -- case in point, the whole Fortnite section section in the kids' costume area, which seems to have been a flash in the pan in the late 2010s. Also of note, the original Toys R Us high-bay lights over the actionway are still in place and still working, even though they make absolutely no sense with Spirit's setup.
From what I understand (based on what I've seen at work), Fortnite is still pretty popular (at least with the 6-14 year old crowd - I've never played it myself, and don't know many people older than that age range who still do).
