The frozen foods department got category decals that are a bit closer to the Lifestyle v3 standard than the ones we saw over in dairy, but stripped of all color, being just black text on a white/translucent strip. I was surprised to see that the dairy (and beer) cases got painted black during the remodel -- all of the Safeway remodels around here kept the cases beige/white. (Some of the Albertsons conversions did include black cases, but Albertsons stores often had a mix of black and silver-painted cases, so I suspect that was done for consistency as much as anything else.) This picture also does a good job of showing the flooring here -- it appears that Safeway stained the existing concrete a light beige color as part of the remodel, which looked quite nice on my visit, but I have to wonder how it's looking today since concrete re-stained after the fact tends to look pretty awful after a while.
