At least the light is good for the palm trees (if they're real, that is)

 

Without the blue neon overhead, this part of the mall looks strangely colorless in this view! Perhaps when this mall was new, the storefronts would have provided a bit more visual interest, but unlike the mall itself, they've been updated over the years and are mostly a bit bland these days, at least in this part of the mall. I didn't mention this the first time around -- a large portion of the upper level in the Sears court is now taken up by the "We Play" indoor playground, a concept which doesn't seem all that appealing to me -- I suppose it makes a bit more sense in Spokane, though, since that's a place with relatively hot summers and cold winters, so there's a good part of the year when people might not want to be outside!
