One major reason Safeway's lack of neighborhood names with Modern decor frustrates me so much is that many of their stores have older bits of decor that do reference a more specific location, such as this sign printed on the barrier between the cart escalator and people escalator, leading down into the garage. I wish I had managed to fully capture both signs at once, though I suspect if I had pivoted a bit more to the left, the barrier would have blocked the right edge of the Modern wall sign.
I'm going to be out of town for the long weekend, and I'm planning on taking a short break from posting as a result. But we'll see if that lasts -- I'm super excited to post more Thrifty Foods pictures!
