Flaming Neon

While the mall seems to be in fairly good shape overall, the food court was quite dead, with several empty spaces (including one that has been turned into some sort of rentable commercial kitchen), and most of the filled spaces look to have seen better days, like the Flaming Wok here that's lost most of its neon. (Seeing this made me wonder if the original mall developers pushed tenants to have neon signs to match the mall, but I'm guessing not since there were hardly any more to be seen.) The absurd spacing between the tables adds to the effect -- I suspect that was put into place due to COVID, and the mall never bothered to bring back the rest of them since there's nowhere near enough demand to even fill the reduced number of tables. It seems like food courts dying in otherwise healthy malls is quite a common thing around here, though it's a completely different story north of the border!
