Continuing towards the back of the store, we find the dairy department, which has a few more of those newer chalkboards. I was going to poke fun at Thrifty for putting a mural of cows above the egg case, but then I noticed that they also included a smaller drawing of a hen too!
That's interesting that they have a display case of Heinz ketchup there. When I was last in Canada, I remember reading or watching something on TV there about how Heinz had stopped producing ketchup in Canada and French's was marketing themselves as the true Canadian ketchup since they were still making ketchup in Canada. This is a big deal as Canadians love ketchup...hence the ketchup Lay's potato chips.

I wonder if Heinz has regained their position in Canada, but I suppose having large displays like this in supermarkets is one way to aid that cause!
Interesting! Part of me is surprised that big companies like Heinz and French's made ketchup in Canada at all, but I suppose it makes sense seeing how popular ketchup is there.
