So. Many. Ampersands.

I find it rather strange that even though the ampersand only really made sense in the original Main & Vine context, it really wasn't used all that much in the actual Main & Vine store; now, with that branding gone, it's suddenly all over the place in Urban Mix, which seems rather confusing to people who don't have the full Main & Vine context (and apart from the actual designers of this decor, there's probably only a couple dozen people with that background at most in the whole world, and most of them are reading this post right now!). It's a cool graphic element, for sure, but seems really out of place in a normal QFC store.

  1. Those ampersands are very strange. I'm sure those ampersands lead customers to have a bunch of question marks in their mind!

It would be rather strange for a Kroger here to keep things out in cardboard cases and pallets like what I'm seeing here with the marshmallows, sugar, and other stuff. Given that QFC is probably a bit higher-end than the average Kroger, it seems even more odd to see this here. Perhaps this was some sort of baking season rarity? Perhaps it maximizes space on a narrow actionway as compared to proper displays?

    1. Ha!

Yeah, it's quite strange for QFC to have any sort of displays in the actionways, since their stores tend to be a bit small. This is probably just because it was getting close to Thanksgiving.
