While the liquor department felt rather cramped, the produce department is the opposite, despite it still having the extra-low ceiling that QFC loved so much. I suppose the low ceiling has its benefits -- it means that QFC tends not to hang a ton of overhead promotional signage, something Safeway loves to clutter its produce departments with! While the grand aisle feels much darker following the Urban Mix remodel, the produce department swung the opposite direction -- and I'll note that the new light grey wall color over here is quite similar to the old color on the other side of the store.
