Further adding to the ghost town (or dead mall?) vibe of this station, the west end of the mezzanine was designed with the Metro Customer Stop counter as its focal point, but when buses stopped running in the tunnel in 2019, it was closed down, left completely empty, and no replacement transit customer service point ever popped up. Thankfully, it sounds like Sound Transit is finally considering doing something with this space that they inherited, but this is Seattle, where nothing happens quickly, so I'm sure this eyesore will stay like this for quite some time.
