The absolutely ancient frozen cases right in the middle of the store are certainly a common trait for very-old Safeways like this, however! I always like to get a view like this in the centermost aisle of a Marina store, since in a typical one the soaring ceiling produces an impressive effect; however, the much flatter than normal arch here really ruins that -- and the extra-tall shelves don't help. It's also sad to see that most of the original glass on the front wall is gone now.
