This very angular display block over in whatever clothing department this is supposed to be is a nice contrast to the rounded ones in the shoe department. I also find the weird poses the mannequins in this store are doing to be rather amusing!
I usually associate mannequins with obviously poor fitting clothes with the likes of Goodwill and bankruptcy era Sears, but I suppose I should add Nordstrom to that list!
I've probably mentioned it to you before, but one of the Randall's in Houston, the Sugar Land location, is currently liquidating before closing. Mike from HHR got some photos from the liquidation. I know seeing a closing Safeway isn't new to you, but it is neat to see these photos anyway. There are some interesting things here such as the rather antique dairy case fridge doors. Also, as is common in Houston, this store had an installation of the micro-sized Lifestyle v2 decor. Ha! I'm never sure what proper fitting even looks like on mannequins...
Weird to see small Lifestyle v2 signage in a store without super low ceilings! I guess Safeway didn't want to do anything with the weird multi-layered soffits that store has. Interesting you say that about the dairy doors -- Safeway used ones that look like that at least until the early 00s, and they're still present in nearly all Safeways around here!
