Normally, Fred Meyer remodels include a dramatic downsizing of the clothing department, but that doesn't appear to have happened here. In fact, the men's and kids' departments are in space previously occupied by cosmetics and seasonal stuff (shown in the old picture I posted yesterday); this photo appears to show the men's department in the front right corner, where health and beauty is now. That means that either the men's and women's departments were strangely disjointed previously, or the overall clothing department was formerly much larger than I would have expected for a store like this. Either way, the cheap fixtures and awful vinyl (rather than nice carpet) on the floor make this a clothing department unlike any other I've ever seen at Fred Meyer!
