I always love the weird product combinations that happen in smaller stores like this one! Sure, having alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the same aisle is relatively normal, but the left side of that aisle marker is just amusing. 🙂 Sadly, it doesn't appear to be accurate -- it appears that the left side of aisle 12 is actually split between wine and higher-end sodas, with "sport drinks" (which I imagine is basically the same category as "energy drink") being in aisle 11 instead. And it just feels weird for the aisle marker to refer to "energy drink" and "flavored beverage" singular, especially with "soft drinks" right there... but then again, I feel like it would be weird for it to say "wines", so I don't know.
Drinks to give you energy and drinks that will take it away!
ReplyDeleteGiven the somewhat lower ceiling height here, this certainly feels like some of our Randall's stores here in Houston!
Funny!
DeleteThis hardly registers as being a low ceiling to me (thanks to QFC's extra-low ceilings), but it is definitely a bit lower than normal for Safeway! Just another thing that makes this store feel old-fashioned...
