Pharmacy, with leftover fireworks

Here is that pharmacy I just mentioned, with a little health and beauty department crammed in between it and the checkouts. I know I've mentioned this before (and I'll mention it again!), but Bountiful decor really doesn't work well with QFC's standard ultra-low ceilings -- which is a bit of a surprise, since QFC was one of the first markets for Bountiful (it first appeared in Ralph's circa 2009, and was already in use at QFC by 2010). That's probably why I don't have positive opinions about Bountiful the way that many others do. (At least we don't have to deal with Remix up here!)

  1. Bountiful and real floors! This might be a QFC that gets my seal of approval! This doesn't look tremendously different from how Greenhouse Kroger pharmacies look in many cases. The original design had the pharmacy window facing the racetrack, but sometimes these have been moved around in later renovations.

Although our Houston Krogers might not have the same tendency to have low ceilings as our Randall's, low ceiling perimeter Krogers are not unusual here either. Here's one with Bountiful as an example, but in that case, they didn't use the full basket decor and just put the flat letters on the wall. Link: https://goo.gl/maps/C9jWR31JgJRRNWDV6

I think both the QFC approach and the one here in Houston both look pretty good. I don't think that pharmacy basket sign looks too bad...in the photo at least. Maybe it's overwhelming in person, but it looks fine in the photo.

Do you guys have any QFCs with low hanging Bountiful pills like this Houston Kroger in a former Weingarten/Safeway/AppleTree?! Link: https://goo.gl/maps/48T4QBGNFFAxXyvC8

    1. The flooring is a Fresh Fare leftover -- not sure if this store had Fresh Fare and then remodeled to Bountiful (which would be quite strange for a QFC but happened in at least one other store) or if it was added with the Bountiful remodel.

We have some QFCs with plain letters like that too, though this is the more common style -- that plain design is a little better for not feeling overwhelming, but looks pretty boring. Realistically, I just don't feel like Bountiful is a good fit for low-ceiling stores, though Kroger clearly felt differently.

I haven't seen QFCs with low-level product photos like that around here, but they could be somewhere. It sure looks like they should have made those pictures a little smaller!
