Embrace modernity

The 6th and Olive entrance was abandoned because it was replaced with a new one here, right on the corner of 7th and Olive. Pacific Place's new owners intended for this to be the new main entrance, and put it on this corner to point towards Denny Triangle and South Lake Union, the neighborhoods where most new office development is happening (almost exclusively for Amazon, making this seem like a rather odd choice). I have no idea what this space was previously used for -- it looks like it was another tenant space of some sort, but Street View going all the way back to 2008 shows it just having various advertising displays in its windows. As much as I like this design, I must admit that it looks extremely tacked on, even more so than the remodeled Pine St entrance that at least has a bunch of other weird stuff going on around it.
