Looking beyond

Heading back out of the Barnes & Noble, it's time to check out the Westwood Village shopping center itself. Originally, the mall building's southwest corner would have been roughly where I was standing, with the space to the left (Target, Barnes & Noble, and the two-story building straight ahead) all being parking; the front of the retail strip on the right is fairly close to where the original mall corridor was. That retail strip is all new construction, however; the only original part of Westwood Village visible here is the Bed Bath & Beyond building (which was originally some sort of anchor tenant, and was built in the 70s, shortly after the first phase of the mall opened).
