Somehow, my post-remodel picture of the front end turned out way worse than my pre-remodel one, but you can see here how the floral department moved over to take up that weird empty space. You can also see how the new strip lighting at this store looks much worse than the old -- the old lighting at least had diffusers to cover up the bare florescent tubes, but the new stuff is just plain old industrial lighting. It's sad to see how many steps backward Safeway took with their store design following the Albertsons merger.
