This store opened in 2006, as part of the mixed-use (retail, office, and residential) 500 Mercer development, on the site of an old, much smaller QFC. (In addition to the QFC, this building has several other retail spaces, one of which was formerly home to a very short lived OfficeMax.) This was the first of three mixed-use QFC redevelopments to occur in the late 00s, and therefore the first of the three stores to get the unique decor used in these redeveloped stores -- but more (lots more) about that later.
