The right-hand 4th Ave entrance had the last sign remaining from during the closure, directing people towards the central entrance since these doors were out of use for most of the closing sale period. And that's despite someone having hung a "now closed" sign right next to it! Speaking of that sign... as sad as it was to see the flagship Bon Marche close, the saddest part is that this store's closing marked the last time that the Bon Marche/Macy's had a store anywhere within the city of Seattle after 130 years. They never had a ton of stores in Seattle -- I'm not sure if they even ever had more than two (downtown and Northgate, which had closed not long before), but it's still the end of an era, for sure. And with how many stores Macy's has closed around here in recent years, I have to wonder how much longer they have in the Seattle region as a whole.
