Unfortunately, I didn't get a good comparison shot to that last one -- I meant to, but I guess I got distracted by this cool photo of the old store during what I'm guessing was its grand opening judging by the banners (though 1970 seems rather late for a standard Marina store like this, and the parking lot is rather empty, so maybe the banners were for something else). I really love how Safeways with historic images like this almost always have a historic image of a predecessor to the store in question!
