Another way this store foreshadowed later Kroger trends -- it doesn't have an aisle 1! Well, it does... it's just in a weird low-ceiling alcove, which we'll see tomorrow, so it has no sign. That's also why the dairy sign is in the cookie aisle! It's a bit weird to see a new-build store with a purpose-designed decor package have such an awkward setup, but I guess these are the compromises they had to make when building an urban store like this one.
