Finally, here's the actual entrance to the Spirit portion of this old Sears. Spirit took over the appliance department, which had its own, small dedicated entryway. Inside the doors, you can see the start of the one way setup that Spirit had put in here, probably as part of their attempts at social distancing.
This is a bit off-topic, but do you know anything about this decor package that Kroger is using at this Detroit-area store? Whatever it is, it looks quite nice! It's sad that I have not seen this anywhere around here. In addition to the classy-looking decor that looks a bit like a cross between 2012/Bountiful and Lifestyle v2, it looks like Kroger put a new floor in at this store with white tile and fake wood accents. It looks pretty good! Link: https://goo.gl/maps/8e38oGTNiwSKuR5C9

That's Fresh Fare 2.0 (officially ReFresh Fare), which is one of my favorite Kroger decor packages! It was extensively used in Ralph's and Roundy's, but only rarely elsewhere. It looks like this store was remodeled around 2018, which would make it one of the last remodels before that package was retired.
DeleteInteresting stuff, thanks for the information. Leave it to Kroger to retire a good looking decor scheme! Ugh, I almost got my hopes up that we would see that decor in Houston, lol.
DeleteSounds about right for Kroger! I think Urban Mix is filling that upscale decor niche for them now.
