For whatever reason, some of the housewares departments at this store did get a lightly-modified version of Fred Meyer's late-Banner housewares department signs, rather than the custom Neighborhood ones used elsewhere. But instead of having either the Banner font or one of the distinctive ones from Neighborhood, the text here is in some generic font. Also, these signs were normally only used in Fred Meyers as retrofits of the old Northwest light boxes (here's a slightly different example that's the only one I have a posted photo of), which this store wouldn't have had. But hey, this whole store's a mystery, so what's another one added on top?
Generic font or not, I think this looks really nice actually.
ReplyDeleteIt sure does! It looks even better in Banner stores with better wall colors and the Banner font.
