Here we see the broken escalator parts in their native habitat -- a Sound Transit station

Heading down another level, here's another look at the former (or maybe -- probably -- fake) doors that don't seem to lead anywhere. Unsurprisingly, one of the nearby escalators was broken and completely disassembled, something that's extremely common in the downtown tunnel stations (seriously, some of these escalators have been continuously out of service for years, and there have been times when the majority of them are broken all at the same time).
