Despite the green stain that was added at some point, the floor in this store is one of the worst I've ever seen! I'm particularly curious what used to be here that led to such a massive quantity of holes in the floor (extending under displays on both sides of the actionway).
Yeah, that flooring is really bad. I've seen some bad concrete floors here in Houston, but I think this is just about as bad as anything else I've seen! I'm sure someone thought the green paint was a great idea when they decided to use this, but it looks like that floor has some kind of fungus growing on it or something!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I tend to think that any sort of paint or stain on concrete flooring is a bad idea, because it always looks terrible unless it's properly maintained (something that retail businesses are rather unlikely to do). The only way to make colored concrete look good is to put the color in it before pouring the concrete, and even then it can look weird after a long enough time.
