Wow, baby car seats are expensive these days

Getting to the back left corner again, by dairy, here's a view down the back actionway. It's interesting to see the two different types of "Everyday Low Price" signs here -- presumably the one in the foreground is the newer one, with the color scheme that matches the rest of the decor... though it's far less legible than the older ones, sadly.

  1. I'm wondering if that 'Girl's' sign is the most grammatically correct way to phrase that sign. I'm guessing 'Girl's' is short for 'Girl's Department', but maybe it would have been better to just put 'Girls' instead? I don't know, maybe we need an English teacher here to deliberate over that question, lol.

    1. Hmm... sounds right to me, but I do have a tendency to overuse possessives.

Retail Retell is the local grammar expert, so perhaps he'd know! (Personally, I seem to have completely lost my touch when it comes to spelling and grammar... ☹️)

    2. I generally don't like it when they use apostrophes in situations like this where there's not a word following, but I'm used to it by now. That said, I also think using just "girls" would be strange. Perhaps the best option would be to do like men's and women's where the terms are already plural, and write "girls' " with an apostrophe at the end. Of course, that would probably look even weirder to the public though... (And lol, thanks for the compliments on my grammar, we'll see how long that sticks with me also XD )

    3. You're welcome! Yeah, "girls'" would certainly make more sense than "girl's", now that I think about it, even if it would look weird.
