Facade centerpiece

Returning to the oddball sign, here's a full view of the store's centerpiece arch. One good thing I have to say about the new style is that it's symmetrical, at least, unlike the old look. But I'm not a huge fan of the light block surrounding the blue piece within the dark grey center facade, especially with the silly little stripe of light grey under the blue (as you can see in the old Street View, there's no actual change to the facade at that point). At least with the arched facade bit, the light grey doesn't feel completely out of place; older Walmart designs with a plain central facade just get a random bit of light grey paint surrounded by dark grey.

  1. Ugh, yes, I hated the lack of symmetry on the original design of this model! And totally agree about the light gray looking out of place on normal, centralized rectangle Walmart facades.

    1. Seriously, I never got what they were going for when they decided to make the facade asymmetrical. And some stores (with smaller logos) looked even worse than this one did!
