One cool thing that I probably wouldn't have wanted to do if this store was still open was taking pictures through the colored-film-covered windows along the front of this store! It's a pretty cool aesthetic, even if the pictures aren't exactly helpful in understanding what the store looks like. And since Whole Foods is owned by Amazon now, I couldn't help but arrange the images into the pattern of one of their biggest local competitors' logo! 😃
Windows 365!
ReplyDeleteOf course, Microsoft, and Amazon/Whole Foods are all businesses I try to avoid doing business with if possible. Thus, they're a perfect combination of imperfection!
Ha! It would be pretty funny if that's why Amazon killed Whole Foods 365, but I'm pretty sure their store brand is still called 365, which goes against that theory.
DeleteI'm with you on that! My work has decided to use Microsoft products for absolutely everything they can, and they're pretty much all terrible.
Oh, yes, my workplace is also all-in with Microsoft products. In fact, when my Windows 7 machine was replaced by a Windows 10 machine, they gave me a brand new desktop with an Intel Core i3 8th generation (which is fine), 4 gb of RAM, and some kind of spinning disk hard drive. Oh my, I can't even tell you how slow and useless that computer was even without any programs running! Fortunately, IT realized how useless my computer was and doubled the RAM and put an SSD in it. It runs okay now, but it's ridiculous to need that much of a computer. I've run modern Linux just fine on 2gb of RAM and a much older processor!
DeleteYeah, I've often heard that. Personally, I'd love to use linux on my home computer, but so far, my experiments with Linux haven't gone all that well. But even Mac OS seems to do better with old hardware than Windows -- my personal laptop and my work desktop are the same age and similar specs, but while my laptop works nearly as good as when I got it, my work computer is only barely functional (and even worse over the remote desktop connection that I've been stuck with for the last year and a half and counting).
DeleteMy previous (and first) computer, which I used through high school, was a dirt-cheap Windows 7 laptop with just 1 GB of RAM. Yeah, that wasn't fun to use!
Very cool shot! Or, technically, collage, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with y'all about Windows though, lol.
Thanks! And haha, operating systems are sure something that everyone has an opinion on!
DeleteHa, yeah, between the three of us, we have one who prefers Windows, one who prefers MacOS, and one who prefers Linux. There's probably more unity in retail preferences than there are with operating systems! It seems fitting that I have the most oddball choice though, doesn't it? Lol, I suppose that's to be expected given that I usually say Randall's in local debates about whether HEB or Kroger is better!
DeleteYou're welcome!
