It took me a while to figure out why that "Toys" pylon sign looks so out of place to me -- it's because Northwest didn't actually use a pylon sign for the toy department! Instead, it had a flat "Playland" sign. I don't believe the color used here was used in real Northwest decor, either, so I guess Fred Meyer was just making it up on the fly here, strangely enough.
