I was happy to see that Fred Meyer kept this store's nice books-and-magazines shelving during the remodel, and it looks like they didn't even shrink the department all that much! I have to wonder if physical books picked up in popularity during COVID. It kind of seems like they would have, as people had more time on their hands and libraries were closed, but then again, it's probably more likely that people switched to e-books instead.
Nice shot! Aside from the "HARDWARE" letters that look like they were installed way too low on that sign, I actually think I like all the décor in this pic... wow. What a difference some wall paint makes!
ReplyDeleteYeah, there's definitely something weird with that hardware sign! I wouldn't go as far as saying I like it, but this is certainly better than other parts of the store.
