Downstairs, Macy's was doing a good job of consolidating merchandise down to smaller portions of the store, such that this area looked almost normal while the sections off in the background were completely empty. (I suppose they were doing that everywhere, but that picture from above of the main floor showed how it's somewhat futile when stock levels are so far down from what they should be.) In particular, ties didn't seem to be selling well -- another thing that almost seems to be predicting how the rest of 2020 would go! (Of course, in this part of the country, it's not like office workers typically wear any sort of formal clothes anyway, so the types of people who wear ties are generally not the types who are working from home!)
