Welcome to the Mountlake Terrace Albertsons/Safeway!

This store was built in 1998, and served as an Albertsons until 2019, when it was converted into a Safeway as part of the slow-going removal of the Albertsons brand from Washington. For some reason I no longer remember, I learned of this store's conversion at the last minute, so I rushed up here one snowy February day to catch it before the remodel got going too much! This visit was almost exactly two years ago, and therefore the snowstorm must have been almost exactly two years before the one that we just had here -- mid-February really does seem to be the hotspot for Seattle snow! One note on this store's location -- I'm calling it the Mountlake Terrace store, because it is within Mountlake Terrace city limits (and because Safeway calls it that), but it's only in Mountlake Terrace because the specific lot it's on was annexed when the store was built! I suspect most people would call this area Lynnwood instead, since it's right across the freeway from the Lynnwood Transit Center and one of their main business districts, and nowhere near what little business district-like area Montlake Terrace has.
