I was quite surprised when I initially saw this tag, since the Redmond Macy's had closed in the previous round of closings, but looking up store 377, this stuff was actually going to the Macy's Furniture Gallery in Redmond. That's an interesting thing in its own right, being a standalone, non-mall Macy's furniture store nowhere near a normal Macy's (even when the Redmond Macy's was in operation, it wasn't anywhere near the furniture store) -- I wonder how common those stores are, since they seem like an odd concept.

  1. Yeah, that's surprising to hear the furniture store not only is standalone but also is nowhere near a full line Macy's. I'm with you in wondering how common that is...

    1. It really is odd. Looking around, it seems like standalone Macy's furniture stores aren't too uncommon, but typically they're in or near a mall where Macy's is (or was). It's also odd to see that the Redmond furniture store looks older than the actual Macy's (which was notably one of the last Bon Marches built), though that doesn't necessarily mean anything since it's always possible that the furniture store could have been built as something else, or the main Macy's was a replacement store (and I suppose if that's the case, it would explain why the stores are so far apart; unfortunately, I'm not seeing anywhere obvious that a Bon Marche could have been near the furniture store).
