Even the parking garage has bowling alley theming in it, with those bowling lane arrow things pointing towards the entrance. (I'm sure there has to be a real term for them, but the best I can find online is "lane arrows", which sounds too simple!) I have to say, Target's red and white color scheme adapts well to mid-century bowling themes.
That's a very odd little car there parked next to the Honda Civic. It makes the Civic look like full-sized car! The little car makes the compact car parking spot look quite big! It looks like some kind of Fiat, but I don't know what exactly it is, but it must be from a different country because I don't think anything like that is sold in the US unless it's some kind of rare thing only sold on the west coast.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, AFB recently shared a link to this bowling alley-turned-Target and it's certainly very unique and interesting. It certainly makes the Randall's-turned-Target that recently opened in Houston look like nothing special. I'm looking forward to seeing the images you took of it, but for now my mind is too fixated on figuring out what kind of car that is and where it came from, lol.
Hmm, yeah, not sure what kind of car that is, and unfortunately this is the only picture I have with it in it. It looks kind of like a Chevy Spark or Suzuki SX4/Swift, both of which I've certainly seen around here (in fact, the Spark is fairly common, and my neighbor in Port Angeles even has kayak racks on his so it really looks like the car in the picture), but it doesn't quite seem to match up with either. 🤷♂️
DeleteYeah, I don't know either! It's a mystery! It does look a little bit like a Chevy Spark, but the Spark is a 4 door and the car in the photo is a 2 door.
DeleteWe do see some strange cars here in Houston that people drive up here from Mexico. It's not unusual to see a Renault or Seat car with Mexican license plates. I suppose that car could be one of those or maybe something from Canada.
Oddly enough, Chevrolet has discontinued all their non-trucks, SUVs, and sports cars except for the Spark and the Malibu! I suppose there is the Bolt as well. Maybe there are a lot of people up in the NW buying Sparks!
Huh, you're right, I hadn't even noticed that it's a two-door thing. The only two-door cars I've seen around that I can think of are the Toyota Yaris and of course Smart Cars, and this isn't one of those either.
